Sage Pay Go - Find out more

Premium fraud prevention tools

Lloyds TSB Cardnet and Sage Pay are working together to provide businesses with secure online payment solutions.

Sage Pay provides a secure method of linking your business to your Lloyds TSB Cardnet merchant account, to process online and mail order and telephone credit or debit card payments. We operate in a similar way to a terminal in a shop, except in the online world.

In fact, Sage Pay is the largest independent payment service provider (PSP) in the UK processing millions of payments each month on behalf of thousands of online businesses.

Pricing

Sage Pay is committed to providing a fully featured and high quality service at an exceptionally competitive price. Not only are our rates among the lowest in the industry, but unlike our competitors, we also include all features and benefits of our solutions in the package for no additional charge.

There are no set-up fees and Sage Pay Go costs from just £20 per month. There are a host of added extras too, including standard fraud prevention tools, telephone and mail order transaction facilities and 24/7 customer support, all of which are included as part of your package.

Totally affordable

  • There are no set-up fees, no percentage fees, no annual charges and lots of complementary extras, which means
you’ll know exactly what your costs are up front.
  • Benefit from out flat rate pricing of £20 for up to 1000 transactions per quarter and from 10p per transaction thereafter. When you've processed more than 1000 transactions in a quarter, we'll switch you to the 10p per transaction pricing with a minimum charge of £20 per month.

Extremely reliable

  • Because we’re specialists and we’ve fine-tuned the payment process. We make sure that your money
moves into your account quickly and securely, so that it’s there when you need it to be.

  • Our twin data centres and disaster recovery initiatives ensure your payments are being processed
    all day every day.

Highly secure

  • We take your customers’ data security seriously. Sage Pay is level 1 PCI DSS compliant and are active members of the PCI SSC (Security Standards Council). Working with us will ensure your peace of mind and reassure your customers. More about our PCI DSS certification

  • We believe that fraud prevention is an essential part of a payment service, which is why we don’t charge you extra for standard fraud screening tools. They’re included as part of your £20 per month package, enabling you to trade successfully and responsibly.
  • If your fraud prevention requirements are more specialised, you can take advantage of our premium fraud prevention services

Brutally simple

  • We realise that you don’t have time to become a payments expert overnight, so we try to make everything
as clear as possible, from our simple pricing policy, to managing your account. With My Sage Pay,
you can run reports, carry out refunds and check for fraud. It’s easy to use and won’t take up too much of your valuable time.

  • Integrating our payment services is pretty straightforward too. We supply full integration kits and user manuals for you and/or your developer and in most cases, you can be taking payments within 20 minutes.

Always available

  • You and your customers will benefit from 24/7 UK-based telephone and email support, so whenever you need us, we’re available to help.

  • Our systems also run 24-hours a day and our aim is to never let our up-time drop below 99.99% — because we want your customers to buy from you when it suits them.

Incredibly flexible

  • We understand that one size doesn’t always fit all, so we’ve developed some useful bolt-ons to enhance
your service or as your business needs change and grow.

    Available bolt-ons:
Priority support — for dedicated account management
Premium fraud prevention — for increased security

  • If your needs are far more individual we can even create a completely tailored payment solution to fit your specific
    payment needs too.

  • Because we’re an independent payment service provider (PSP), we’re not associated to a particular bank.
We work with all of the UK’s major banks, including Lloyds TSB.

Integrating Sage Pay Go

There are three ways to integrate Sage Pay Go with your website. They have been designed so that Sage Pay Go is as flexible as you need it to be.

There are no additional charges for any of the integration options — you can choose either one with your Sage Pay Go package.

  • If your website is hosted on a shared/third party server you will probably need Sage Pay Go with Form integration.

  • If you are hosting your own website, but want Sage Pay to take care of your payment pages, whether they are fully customised, or not, you should consider Sage Pay Go with Server integration.

  • If you are hosting your own website and you would like to host your own payment pages, Sage Pay Go with Direct integration, could be what you need. This option requires you to carry the responsibility of being PCI DSS compliant.

This section of the site explains each of the integration options to help you decide which is best for you. Please note there are different levels of security requirements for each of the integration methods. For more information, email support@sagepay.com

Form Integration

Sage Pay Go with Form integration is the quickest way to start selling online. It can take as little as 20 minutes to set up and is by far the easiest way to integrate with Sage Pay Go.

Server Integration

Sage Pay Go with Server integration is recommended to merchants who want to run order and transaction reports on their own servers, but don’t want to invest in their own digital certificate or collect credit card details on their own website.

Direct Integration

Sage Pay Go with Direct integration is designed to enable you to take card details on your own secure servers and pass them across to Sage Pay for authorisation and secure storage in a server-to-server session that does not involve redirecting the shopper to Sage Pay’s payment pages.

Outsource your payments to Sage Pay

  • Sage Pay is PCI DSS compliant to the highest level, so by outsourcing your payments to us, you won't have to undergo a full annual PCI DSS audit. Instead you'll only need to carry out an annual self assessment, which could save you thousands of pounds on fees and equipment upgrades.
  • If you decide to use Sage Pay Go with Server integration, you can fully customise your payment page too with our iFrame payment technology. With iFrame your customer won't even leave your website URL.
  • If your requirements are unique, we can also create a completely tailored payment solution, which is designed specifically to your business. Here you'll benefit from our PCI DSS certification and have greater flexibility over the payment process.

PCI DSS for self-hosted solutions

  • If you've chosen to use Sage Pay Go with Direct integration you will need to take care of your own PCI DSS certification. Once your data gets to us it's safe, however you'll need to make sure the data collection and transference on your side is also compliant. We've negotiated some excellent rates with Trustwave, the leading global provider of data security solutions, which we hope will make managing your PCI DSS compliance more cost-effective.
